Doing rotations and image corrections just add to this. This app never clears it's own data in the cache so your memory starts to fill even as you just start browsing through your pictures. At least that's the way all good apps work. As new data comes in, data not being used anymore is cleared from the cache by the app. The Mac cache is used by apps to temporarily store data as it processes your information. The issue is how ACDSee Pro Mac manages the memory cache. We original users have complained about this ever since the beta and I've put up with it long enough. Ok folks, the problem is over four years old and ACD does not want to fess up to it they would rather give you your money back than to admit to a badly written app. ((I tried a number of things before this, all more involved, such as copying the new user ~Library data to my user profile, with NO success.)) I used my phone to video record the LEFT side of the applications window where the directories show, The CRASH happens so fast I couldn't tell if a folder was hanging or potentially causing the problem. I logged back into my USER profile and watched repeatedly to what was happening. I performed another Forum members advice, created a NEW USER with ADMIN privledges on my Mac and ACDsee Pro 3 WORKED fine ! so.
